I would, however, like an apology from whomever scheduled the halftime show and made our nation sit through 30 minutes of awful, awful… music? Can we call it that? I think most people would agree that the Black-Eyed Peas should hide under a rock after the other night’s performance.

On the bright side, Chris won $20, and I made guacamole! I also ate my entire week’s worth of calories in one night. Who can honestly resist buffalo chicken dip, chips, meatballs, hummus, artichoke dip, guacamole, kielbasa, mac n’ cheese, ribs, and the list goes on my friends. Ugh, did I really eat all that?!

As I said: guacamole. In my eyes, a perfect Super Bowl food, along with everything else I listed above. This was my first attempt at making guacamole, and being that I live my life watching the food channel, I knew Bobby Flay would help me out =)

I used this recipe, and loved it. Super easy and super delicious. Only thing I didn’t use was the jalapeno pepper because I didn’t have one, so instead, I added about a tablespoon (more or less depending on how spicy you like it) of Frank’s hot sauce. Maybe next time I won’t add as many red onions either… to each his own though, right?
